Aarrgghh!!! My PC has been struck by a virus or sth that's blocking me from logging in to MSN. Now forced to use my sis' old laptop that is so slowww....Oh well. Juz got to make do then. This is a continuation of frustration. The laptop kept losing the connection to the internet so now I'm completing this at work.
Updates:
Saturday was football in the morning which is always fun and extremely tiring. Played with the usual crowd of Edwin, Jun Jie, Jing Kai, Xian Zhang and Kok Jun. Of course, there were other people, mainly some old friends who are back for holidays. See if I can get some pictures soon. After football, headed home to cook some food for my lunch. My first foray into cooking. Just some simple macorroni and cheese. It was edible enough although kinda bland so it was a good start. After that was relaxing at home till I went out to Central at Clarke Quay to meet Edwin, Sundar and his gf for dinner and drinks. Dinner was fish and chips at Manhatten Fish Market which has the same type of food as Fish & Co. but I still prefer the deco and set up at Manhatten to F&C.
After that was the search for the elusive Helipad which is a sort of club/pub place to have drinks and chill. The entrance was cleverly concealed as a lift door which opens up to a black corridor. They had those movement sensors which light up the floor with CG tiles when you're walking in...juz thought it was pretty cool. Anyway, We step thru the door and who do we see standing as a waiter there? Wei Song. Can't say I was really surprised...probably the most likely type of place to run into him. After the introductions and ordering, we took our drinks up to the roof which sort of gives the place it's name. Yeap, it was similar to a helipad with a big H in the middle. Go figure. Haha. The view was amazing though cuz you could see the whole stretch of Clarke Quay, the 2 bouncy ball things that go up/down and sideways (G-max or sth), not to mention the bum boats going up and down the Singapore River. Drinks were slightly overpriced but since they are quite big, they can last for quite some time.
And so we chatted for a while before Sundar left with his gf while Edwin and I went to check out Clarke Quay before heading home.
Well, that concluded Saturday...And now on to Sunday.
Didn't have a good start. The damn cat ignores me the whole time my parents are home but when there's no one else, all the scratching and banging of heads on the door start occuring at ungodly hours in the morning. That's precisely the reason why my parents installed a cat flap on their door but since he rarely troubles me, it was deemed unnecessary. Of course, now he demands attention and won't rest till I'm out of bed. Worst of all, everytime I get near him to pet him, he runs away. Damn, that cat pisses me off. So once he decided he had had enough fun, I was able to get back to sleep until I woke up at 11.30am...haha. After a light lunch, it was such a nice sunny day that a swim was the perfect solution to cool off. So off to the pool I went...unfortunately, my sis had borrowed my cam so I'll take underwater pictures next time (juz becuz I can..haha). At 6, I went over to Amanda's place as she was having a BBQ to celebrate her birthday which is today...Happy Birthday Amanda. Had a great time and the food was good too. Got thank her mum for the good work at the BBQ. And I have a confession to make: I ate quite a few sticks of carrots..ok, many sticks. I dunno what came over me...Please forgive me, my dear God of meat, for I have sinned. I have been tainted by the evils of the Vege Devil but it seemed so right. He promised me good health, clean bowels and acceptance in society if I embraced him but now I see that it was all a lie. Please direct me back onto the path of meatiness. Yum.
And so concludes my Sunday, on to the next week...which has already started. Time to get moving. Bye.
